Young Nobel project in our school

Young Nobel is a project by Students' "Voluntary Service" (PROJEKTOR – wolontariat studencki) and the Ignacy Łukasiewicz Polish Oil and Gas Foundation. Last Saturday a big group of students arrived to our school and organised science workshops. We could watch and take part in experiments in Chemistry, Physics, Biology, First Aid and Robotics. There were some pupils invited from other schools too. It was a very interesting lesson of Science.

National Independence Day in Poland

National Independence DayNarodowe Święto Niepodległości) is a holiday  celebrated every year on 11 November to commemorate the anniversary of Poland's assumption of independent statehood in 1918 after 123 years of partition by Russia, Prussia and Austria.

On the 11 November our pupils with our new flag took part in official ceremony in the town. Today we had a performance at school, we sang traditional songs and history teacher Ms Oleszek and her class 5b made a presentation about Polish complicated history.

Dressing Autumn Fruits

At the school we made an exhibition with Autumn fruits dressed in a “convenient way”.
Some of our Mediterranean Autumn fruits are quinces, sweet potatoes, pine cones, pomegranates, chestnuts, pumpkins… and they turned into hedgehogs, fishes, birds, hens, people… even Cinderella’s lovely carriage !

Children make the characters at home, and they brought them to the school for an exhibition.
